Day 1 – Watch Today’s Sunset and Tomorrow’s Sunrise
To kick off January 1st, 2020 our first challenge was to watch last night’s sunset and this morning’s sunrise 🌅. I loved this challenge because it’s fairly normal for me to take the time to just sit and watch the sun play over the city skyline from my apartment. It’s one of my favorite things about my cozy San Francisco rental – the views brought on by the ever-changing clouds, fog, wind, and colors. I am less inclined to watch the sunrise, since I love dreaming, but I am lucky this week because I am still in on East Coast time and heading to bed early/waking up early 😆

I loved how the pink was peeking through the overcast day. I really didn’t think we were going to see any sort of sunset, but it was perfect in the end.

I’ve been up since 5:30 and been able to read and write for fun while I watch the sunrise from the east over the city.
Sunsets from Treasure Island, Florida Over Christmas
Last week while in Florida for Christmas, I had the opportunity to see some gorgeous sunsets into the Gulf Coast. We took time as a family to sit on the beach, pop a little champagne, and celebrate the magic of the universe before our eyes.
Later this morning I will take on the day two challenge of taking a cold bath or shower – I’m already shivering 🥶!
